Current Events -
Be ready to do a current event with a
partner.
You will learn about a current event
and be ready to present the details in class.
Your presentation should be about 2-3 minutes each or longer if you use a video clip.
The assignment:
- Print out the English news event article:
- write one paragraph about the event, in your own words.
- Write about the details: who is involved, where does it take place, why does it happen,what happens and how does it happen
- Find a media clip (youtube, news channels etc) or pictures that relate to the event
- Be ready to teach at least three new words to help students understand the news event that you will cover. You can use words from the vocabulary section of the website or pick out a fewwords that seem important and teach them to the class. You can create a multiple choiceexercise or just have definitions ready.
